The "Weston Mk5" Shaft Lifters can be supplied with hoist controls built in for easy operation or with separate pendant control for maximum flexibility. We will even supply the Mk5 without a hoist, so you can fit it to your existing hoists! The Mk5 Shaft Lifter is powerful, safe and easy to use, giving operators 'finger-light' control of heavy shafts.

The system comprises of a standard two-speed electric hoist hanging from a free moving swing-jib crane that supports a Shaft Extractor/Re-Corer/Manipulator. The purpose of the system is to allow operators to extract an airshaft from a newly wound reel, into a new core and then lift the new core and airshaft over the winding reel into the winder, without the need to manually handle the shaft. The Unit can pull stuck airshafts out of crushed cores, with up to 400Kg force.
The system moves freely and with little effort required. Operators following the correct procedure for handling of heavy airshafts will benefit from reduced strain, particularly of the lower back.
The pendant control of the hoist is fitted into the control handle of The Unit for ergonomic control of all functions.
