2008 saw The Reel & Shaft Handling Company take a giant leap forward, with a its new "Reel Turner Mk3" proving a great success at the CEMAT 2008 materials handling exhibition in May, being followed by the winning of Patent for a Safety Device for Pregnant Women. (See Press Release/News page).

The Reel & Shaft Handling Co. is commited to developing and marketing innovative new products in the handling and safety equipment markets and has a proven track record of innovative design, from the Weston Reelstand, to the latest bespoke reel and shaft handling equipment. We are offering a range of reel & shaft handling systems including;

The Reel and Shaft Handling Company has not only expanded its range vastly since 2006 by becoming agents and distributors for a number of specialist handling equipment manufacturers, including, RAMA Agility Trolleys and Armanni Pedestrian Stacker trucks, but we have since developed unique reel lifting attachments to compliment the base trucks.

All this was in addition to the development of its own in-house products, one of which was awarded a government DTI Grant for Research & Development!

at start-up, our first order was to design & manufacture a totally unique, combined shaft extractor/re-corer/manipulator for Europe's largest film producer. Patents & other IP have been applied for. Since then, we have designed manufactured and installed a widely varying range of reel and shaft handling systems in film producers, packaging & printing companies and Paper mills.

The company’s aim is to provide our customers with cost effective, operator friendly solutions to their reel & shaft handling needs. Where practical, we will use our own existing designs and concepts, or as appropriate, good quality OEM equipment is sourced to offer a prompt and lowest cost suitable solution. We can, for example, offer high specification reelstands, slitters and rewinders at highly competitive rates.
